STORY Coffee Hound Coffee Bar launched in Bar Harbor in 2013. Owned & operated by  Chris & Jen, both are members of the Barista Guild of America & the Specialty Coffee Association of America. Their passion about the coffee industry is unparalleled, they travel each year to coffee plantations around the world to expand their knowledge and work one on one with their roaster on new roasts and beans. Coffee Hound was recently featured presenting at the 2016 National Coffee Fest Conference in New York City.

VISION “We believe that coffee is a culture that is shared around the world. So we offer a full line of high quality craft products to indulge tastes near or far & connect with people one cup at a time…  “But don’t take our word for it check out what Author Carrie Jones’ has to say about us”!

LOCATIONS A favorite in Bar Harbor, Maine May–October & at Sunday River Ski Resort, South Ridge Lodge, December–April.

PRODUCTS Coffee Hound’s Roaster, Carrabassett Coffee Company, is a small-batch specialty boutique roaster from western MAINE!  See menu listing in each location for all our tasty creations.

BEANS WITH PURPOSE Based on an Italian goodwill tradition, Coffee Hound participates in the (pay it forward) Suspended Coffee program by taking prepaid coffees and donating their value in bags of beans to local area shelters. Add a second cup of coffee to your order and give someone in need a “good cup of coffee” because no matter what life hands you, it should at least be a “good cup of coffee”! COFFEE TALK Contact us if you are interested in having us give a talk on World History through Coffee Houses – the alluring culture of coffee houses and over 500 years worth of notable history that has poured from them.  Recently featured at the National Coffee Fest Conference. Everything you didn’t learn from world history in 8th grade – through the lens of the coffee industry. If Pope Clement VIII hadn’t ‘baptized’ coffee in the late 1500’s there might not be a coffee house on every street corner today.  Jennifer is a passionate and lively speaker who has extensive experience speaking on diverse subjects to large audiences.
